The "Alfalfa" (from the Arabic al-fal-fa "father of all foods") is native to Southwest Asia, but is widespread in Italy, mainly in the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Marche, Veneto.

"Alfaalfa" is considered the ideal food for herbivorous animals as it grows easily without the need of fertilizers, and it is rich in fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, with a high level of Omega-3 and Omega-6.

The "Nucci Group" adopts a system of programmed harvest that allows to take advantage of the plants in their best vegetative stage that guarantees a high nutritional value. The methods of harving and of preservation adopted allow to get a non-denatured fiber with characteristics similar to the not processed hay.

The dehydration is an artificial process of drying carried out in specific plants that provides the evaporation of water naturally present in the fibers so to maintain the original nutritional qualities of the "Alfalfa", with the highest possible standards equal to those that the plant had in the field before being moved.

The "pellet" is the result of chalking and pressing the fibers.
The "Nucci Group"" does not add any type of chemical additive and the storage of the product is done in special covered warehouses.
